The Meaning of Tecolote
Near the San Cristo Mountains, Tecolote is a small town in New Mexico where Phillip & Terri want to retire. The name Tecolote comes from the Nahuatl word “tecolotl,” which means owl. This is fitting, as the town is home to many species of owls, including the great horned owl and the burrowing owl.
