Ordering & Policies

Every Tecolote Visions piece is handmade, and custom work is created specifically for the person who commissions it. These policies explain what to expect before work begins.

Custom Jewelry Commissions

Custom work begins with a conversation about the piece, materials, stones, size, design direction, budget, and desired timing. Phillip will confirm the scope of the commission before work begins. A deposit may be required; the amount and payment schedule will be provided with the commission details.

Design Approval

When appropriate, design details or sketches will be provided for approval before fabrication begins. Natural stones vary in color, matrix, pattern, and shape, so the finished piece may show natural variations that are part of the material rather than defects.

Changes and Cancellations

Please request changes as early as possible. Once materials have been purchased or fabrication has begun, changes may affect the price and completion date. Because custom pieces are made specifically for the client, deposits or payments may become non-refundable once costs have been incurred or work has begun, except where otherwise required by law.

Returns and Craftsmanship Issues

Custom-made jewelry is generally not returnable simply because a client changes their mind after an approved design has been completed. If there is a craftsmanship issue, an error from the approved specifications, or shipping damage, contact Tecolote Visions promptly so the situation can be reviewed and made right.

Sizing, Resizing, and Alterations

Please provide accurate sizing information when ordering. Resizing or alterations requested after completion may require an additional charge depending on the design, materials, and work involved. Some stone settings or designs may limit whether resizing is possible.

Timing

Completion estimates are discussed before a commission is accepted. Handmade work, material availability, stone selection, design revisions, and other factors can affect timing. If the piece is needed for a specific event, include that date in your inquiry so Phillip can determine whether the schedule is realistic before accepting the commission.

Shipping

Shipping method, cost, tracking, and insurance will be confirmed for each commission before shipment. Please review the package promptly after delivery and report any shipping damage as soon as possible.
